They say that life is stranger than fiction and my life is certainly no exception. From the day I graduated from university with a Biochemistry degree I was never quite able to satisfy the itches, the urges, or the magnetism of hundreds of different things at once. Love, success, travel, language, freedom, passion, spirituality, politics and writing have all taken me from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs; on the fast track then a snail’s pace; and through jungles of adventure I could have never have imagined.

The last ten years have been a rollercoaster ride, but not the roller coasters we have here in North America – more like the ones I have seen in China: wooden, creaky, rusted, wobbly… nothing short of extremely risky. Some days questionably bordering on suicidal. Over the last ten years I have pursued some 6 careers, attended an additional 3 years of university, traveled to more than 30 countries, volunteered for over 15 causes, been engaged twice, and had one child. All the while, writing has been my anchor. Some might say home is where the heart is. I say home is where my computer is.
